Title unkown

I have gotten some things done the last few days that I had been putting off for a bit. So, that was nice.
We had whittled down our fridge to not much, so Mark and I went grocery shopping on Wednesday. When we got back, I cleared out the remainder of the fridge and cleaned all the shelves. It felt very good and every day when I grab something off the clear glass...I enjoy it. It was in pretty bad need. Spills that had been half cleaned up, etc. Well, now it is cleaned out and organized. Feels good.

Yesterday I scrubbed the bathroom really good. I had been procrastinating cleaning the bathroom something fierce. I finally got it done and hopefully I can keep up on it. The bathroom is one area that I just procrastinate so well on. When I do end up cleaning it, it is never as bad as I had it built up in my head. And I know that beforehand, but it doesn't help me procrastinate less. Ah well.

Charly was so excited the other night and came out in the living room and wanted to show her daddy something. She was so proud of something she did in her room.
What was it that she did?
She pulled all of her books off the shelves on to the floor. She showed us with a "ta da!" The look on her face...she just thought she did such a good thing.
Well, I didn't give her time out or anything, but I firmly told her that if she ever did it again, there would be consequences.
On the flip side...I got to organize the books, which I hadn't done in a long time.

Charly is doing awesome with the potty training. She had one accident yesterday, but she didn't have any for the two days before. And that includes overnight. We haven't put a pull up or diaper on her all week. I am so proud of her.

How is the rest of life going? Oh, lets see...I am doing well. My days are pretty much a blur and I am constantly trying to keep a healthy balance between work, me time, and one on one time with the kids. It is tough, but we do ok. I really don't leave the house much during the week. I start work first thing in the morning and my first job is done at 4pm. After that I get dinner around and deal with the kids...clean the house...do the dishes...get the kids ready for bed, etc. Mark is usually around to help with all that, but sometimes he works late. Then I usually have more of my second job to catch up on in the evenings. Sometimes I am working until 9 or 10. I try not to work any later then that. I like to have at least an hour to myself to veg out to the tv without the computer before bed.

I started this thing about a month or two ago. I keep track of my checkbook in a spreadsheet. And I round everything up or down to the "five" mark. If it is a deposit, I round down and if it is a debit, I round up. If it is a debit for 31 dollars, I mark it down as 35. I tell ya...sometimes it really sucks...I have had debits like 20.43 and I have to round up all the way to 25.00. But, the trick is really working for me! I don't know...it just works for my mind...or how my mind works. I still have my online banking to check my actual amount, but as far as what I have to spend, I go by my spreadsheet. So, I actually have more money then I think. I am not sure what the number is right now...but the chance of my account "accidentally" going in the red, is much lower now. It just gives me a little wiggle room. I wasn't sure how it would all work out, but I like it and I think I am going to keep doing it. I do keep some actual totals in a separate column, if I do need to keep track of actual amounts of debits and deposits, but they aren't involved in my total.

The rounding up/down thing sounds really cool. I guess its a way of saving money, a little at a time, which is the only way to do it. Got a plan for those extra bucks, besides wiggle room??

Just wiggle room right now. We will see how fast it accumulates;) But, maybe it is just good money to use to have a nice dinner out or something.
Or "emergency" fund.
