I am looking forward to Thanksgiving this year...as usual. I am a bit sad, because I will not be going to my sisters...but that is ok, maybe next year I can. This year, it is just entirely too crazy to do all the running around.
Thursday we will be sitting at home relaxing and eating a couple of Hungry Man dinners. Ok...maybe not...it will probably be leftovers;) But, anyhow....I will be busy making a cake for my brother's wedding on Friday. I also will be busy getting ready for Mark's family, who are coming over on Saturday for turkey dinner. I decided to do a Turducken this year. I hear it is entirely too involved...but it looks like fun to me. I can't wait. Plus, Dana and Dan are bringing a free range turkey that they have been brining all week. It should be fun to compare flavor.
We will have a lot more food...mashed potatoes, gravy, spinach salad with a warm feta vin, sweet potato casserole, snackie food...veggies, cheese, crackers, rolls..etc. pumpkin dessert squares, pumpkin roll, cookies, peanut butter popcorn, german chocolate pie..and maybe more. I think we will have enough food to keep us stuffed all day.
So, thursday will be a "no work" day. I am going to try and not turn on my computer at all. I just want to be deboning poultry, baking, and making stuffing...and whatever else I can do ahead of time. And hang out with my family of course;)
Friday morning we will head up to Holton. I am baking the cake here, but will assemble it when I get to Holton. It is just easier that way. I was planning on getting there early anyhow. I am excited that my brother Josh is marrying Amanda. She is such a sweet girl. We like her a lot. I think she is already a great fit in our family. They are getting married at 3pm and my Unkie Dave is performing the ceremony. Dave married Mark and I as well. He does a good job;)
So, the day will be filled with lots of family and good times. I am really looking forward to it.
Saturday I think I will have to get up early to get the Turducken in the oven, but the rest of the day should be pretty relaxed. People will come over whenever they feel like it and I am just going to put the food out and we can graze all day long.
That is one other thing I have to do on Thursday...rearrange the house. I already moved some furniture around that gave me more space...and more seating. But, I think I can do better. And with Cindy's suggestion, I am putting a skinny table in the hall for the food....along with my cart that is a hot plate. That should keep the food not in the way and we can use the dining room and living room for seating. We will see how it goes. I have some other ideas as well, but we will see what I end up doing. I have fun trying to figure it all out.
So, one more day of work and I am off for the weekend! Food, family, and more food and family...I will be in heaven!!

All in one
Mama and Charly sitting at the table eating eggs and toast for breakfast
Charly: "I love your coffee mommy"
Mom: "It's tea"
Charly: "I love your tea mommy"
Charly: "I want some tea mommy"
Mom: "It's hot honey, you can't have any"
Charly ponders a thought
Mom: "Here, feel the side of the cup, it's hot"
Charly feels the side of the cup
Charly: "Hot. You're right mommy!"
Oh....a girl after my own heart;)
We had to make a trip to Kalamazoo on Thursday. Aydan had to go to a specialist. No cause for alarm. It was a consultation and everything turned out normal and we won't have to go back there.;) It seriously took all of 4 minutes for the doctor to take a look and tell us there is no need to worry. We did find out that he is 17 lbs 9 oz. Getting bigger!
We grabbed a bite to eat in K-zoo and hit a few stores. Cake n Candy, Sam's...ur, I guess that is it. I thought there was more stores. Oh, the bread store...yeah. Anyway...on the way home the roads were clear, but by the time we hit Mattawan or a little past...it was snowing pretty hard. By the time we got to Lawrence it was a white out. We got off the highway at Paw Paw because Garry called and told us that he saw a lot of semi's on Red Arrow. Which means that more then likely the highway was closed. So, we got off early so we wouldn't have to deal with any of that. And there were a lot of semi's on Red Arrow ...they like to take up the whole road and when it is dark and snowy. It is a bit scary. We made one more stop at Hardings and were home for the night...that was nice. Oh, I just remembered...after we grabbed a bite to eat...in the car, Charly was saying "Delicious!!! Ha ha ha!" She kept yelling it. It was funny.
Aydan has his four top front teeth coming in. I thought it was just the top front two at first, but the side one's are coming in too. Poor guy. I can't imagine how that feels. But, it doesn't really seem to bother him much. He has his fussy times...but nothing major.
Aydan has learned to click his tongue. It is pretty cute when he does it. And he is pulling himself up on everything. We have a cart in the living room. That is the thing that he loves to pull himself up on and just stand there for a while. Sometimes there are toys there that he will play with.
He has been able to say mama and just recently he started saying dada. It is more about him saying the syllables...but I think he is referring to us as well. At least, I know he has chased me down the hall saying "mama mama mama".
Earlier today Charly did a fake cough and said "I need medicine".
Tonight, Charly wanted candy and we told her no. She said that the doctor said she should have candy. Hmmm...??
With Josh and Amanda getting married this coming Friday, I got to thinking about my wedding dress. I have had it in a bag in the back of my closet....with a stain on it. I really have no idea when I spilled on the dress. I didn't see the stain until I had had it put away for a while. But, it is like something splashed down the front of it. The stain was a dark orange/brown color. I have no idea what it is. Well, I had taken it to a dry cleaner at one point and they were going to charge me over 100 dollars to have it cleaned...and they really couldn't guarantee that they could get it out. Well, I didn't have them do it...I figured it could wait...since it had already been two years setting in.
Well, I forgot about it again for a while...until tonight, I decided to google how to get stains out.
I decided to start simple and just try some dish detergent and a little warm water.
The stain came right off!! Yeah...dear lord, why didn't I try that before? I was afraid of damaging the dress really, but tonight I kind of figured the dress was ruined anyway...so I might as well try something. I am glad I did.
So....I thought...why not try this thing on and see just how much has changed in the last four years.
Drum roll please....
The dress does NOT fit. I couldn't zip up the back. I have swelled.
That is ok...I kind of figured after I had Charly that my "frame" isn't going to go back to what it was. I really don't weigh too much more then I did...about 5 lbs or so. But, my hips have expanded to say the least.
But...my daughter, as I pulled the dress on, she says "oh mommy! You look like a princess!" I mean....isn't she sweet?! And she even "tightened" the bow on the front to make sure it all looked right. She said "There."
We got a lot accomplished this weekend.
Re caulked the tub. Determined that the water is not leaking behind the tub. We just need to fix the steady drip...but the only damage right now is the water bill. So, that is a relief.
We did laundry.
We put the ceiling fan/light back up.
General household stuff...
Made some baby food.
Started putting plastic on the windows.
Did some "work".
It seems like there was more stuff...I can't recall. Oh...well, relaxing...I got a lot of relaxing in. Charly stayed at Grammie and Papa's on Saturday night, so that got Mark and I some more alone time since Aydan goes to sleep earlier then she does. We watched movies and had some popcorn, it was nice.
I am going to post this...before I add anymore little tidbits...aye.

Why not post something....
Oh this weekend was good. It included lots of family. So, that is always a good weekend.
Friday my dad and step mom came down with my brother Josh, his fiance Amanda, and their son Zion. They came to pick up my kids for the weekend, but also hung out here for a while too.
Claudia brought some of her famous beef vegetable soup. I had ironically, made the same kind of soup the night before....so we got to compare;) We sat around and nibbled on chocolate cookies, coffee and a few chocolates. We watched the kids roll around the floor. We watched Zion as he learned how to scoot forward by pushing up with his toes. It was too cute. And it was fun watching Aydan and Zion react to each other. They are four months apart, but Zion is about the same size as Aydan! He is quite the cute baby...well, they both are;) Charly ran around and did her thing as usual. Later on my dad went out and got a Gali-T-Inn pizza and some pop and ice cream. We stuffed ourselves with the family size. It was quite tasty.
After that, they loaded the van and took off with our kids, leaving Mark and I in an empty house. I was excited for the alone time, but already was missing my kids. Mark and I ended up enjoying our time separately. He watched his shows in the living room, and I cuddled up and watched my shows in the bedroom. I know...we were supposed to use this time to enjoy one another, but I know that I really needed some alone time. I think it worked out well for both of us.
I slept in until 8:30 the next morning! I was quite happy with that. Mark and I weren't really sure what we were going to do with the day. I started on some files that I needed to do first thing in the morning. I wanted to get them out of the way. After a bit of lounging and eating some breakfast, we decided on a trip to Detroit to see my mom. But, Mark ended up having to go in to work, so I went to Detroit on my own. I think I ended up getting there right around 2pm. Mindy and Luke were there already. My mom made me one of her crepes as soon as I got there...very good. After that we got to work helping pack. My mom is moving on Friday, so she had a lot of things to get done. My mom moving to Oklahoma is quite surreal. I am very sad...although I know this move is going to be very good for her and Dave. I think I am just in the "denial" stage of the grieving process. Once she does actually move, it will seem a bit more real. I know I will still talk to her every day with work...but I guess other things just won't be the same. Change isn't always bad...it is just hard in the beginning. It takes some adapting...which only happens with time.
We packed for a while and then my mom made some homemade pizza. That was very good too. It was starting to get late, and with the 21/2 hour drive, I thought I would get moving before I got too tired. I said my good-bye's and was on the way. My mom and Dave are supposed to stop by on their way out of state on Friday, so I will see her one more time before she moves, and that way she can see her grand kids as well.
I got home around 9:30 and Mark was relaxing on the couch enjoying some music. We got to chat for a while without interruptions and ended up watching a movie. "Cloverfield". Good movie...but I would only watch it once. I actually almost turned it off at one point...but, I did appreciate what the director/producer was trying to do.
The next morning I slept in until 9am! Yeah...I could get used to this;) I got up and got around for church. Mark had been up most of the night....his back has been acting up again, so he stayed home. I was doing coffee hour with Cindy, so I brought some banana bread, and stopped by the store for some cheese and crackers on the way to church. We also had Jean helping with the coffee hour as well. I tell ya...with three people, that ended up being a lot of food! But, we really didn't have much leftover. It was fun.
After church, Mark and I headed up to Grand Haven to pick up our kids. We made a couple stops on the way. I stopped in Hamilton to see if my sister was home. I haven't spoken to her in a long time...let alone see her. So, I miss her quite a bit. She wasn't home, but I left a note, and maybe I will get to talk with her soon.
We also made a trip to Sam's Club. We just walked around and grabbed a bite to eat. We found a few things we would 'like' to buy...but we didn't.;)
At the Grand Haven house, the kids were having fun. Charly was happy to see us walk through the door. And Aydan...well, he didn't show it as much...but I am sure he was happy. We hung out for a while and relaxed. Chatted and had some dinner. It was getting close to 8pm, so we packed up the kids, and headed home. Charly and Aydan fell asleep soon after we were in the car.
The kids had fun with Oma and Opa, but I was glad to have them home. When they are gone, I have this "identity crisis" thing. Ok, not quite so dramatic as a crisis...but I think I get a lot of my sense of self from my kids. My world is so wrapped up with them on a daily basis. They leave for two days, and I am not sure what to do with my self. I know this is not entirely good. I need to work on being "me" a bit more, but for now...I love my kids and I truly enjoy being wrapped up in their world.
When we got home, I got Aydan in his jammies and gave him a bottle. After, he just cuddled right up in my arm. I had to take advantage and cuddle for a little bit. Aydan doesn't cuddle a whole lot, and when it is time to go to bed, I usually put him in his crib awake. So, I totally took some time and just snuggled with him and watched him yawn, and close his eyes...and then open them, and close them. Then he would fuss and change position and snuggle back down again. He is just so precious.
And then there is Charly, who was laying down on the couch with her head on a pillow and a blanket pulled up to her chin. She looked so cute. She hadn't moved since we got home. And she says "I love you sooo much". And then she would tell Daddy, "I love you daddy".
These are the moments I live for. These are the moments I cherish. I can not imagine my life without my husband and kids. They amaze me and give me so much joy. I just am amazed how lucky I am. How blessed I am. Everything else could go to pot....if I have my family, I am the happiest person alive.

$1.97
I PAID $1.97 FOR GAS TODAY. THAT MADE ME SO HAPPY. I HAD UNDER A QUARTER TANK IN THE JEEP AND FILLED IT UP FOR JUST UNDER 30 DOLLARS. THAT WAS AWESOME. I COULD DEFINITELY GET USED TO THIS. I CAN'T RECALL HOW LONG IT HAS BEEN SINCE I HAVE PAID UNDER 2 DOLLARS FOR GAS. PRETTY LONG....
~
AREN'T BABIES SUPPOSED TO BE SCARED OF VACUUMS? I ALWAYS THOUGHT THIS, BUT APPARENTLY THAT ISN'T THE CASE. YOU WOULD THINK THEY WOULD BE. IT IS A LARGE, LOUD, POWERFUL MACHINE RIGHT AT THEIR EYE LEVEL.
WELL, CHARLY HAS NEVER BEEN SCARED AND EVEN NOW, SHE LIKES TO BE CHASED AROUND THE HOUSE BY THE VACUUM. THAT IS...WHEN SHE ISN'T TRYING TO DO THE VACUUMING HERSELF.
I WAS VACUUMING LAST NIGHT AND AYDAN FOLLOWED THE VACUUM AROUND THE ENTIRE HOUSE. IF I WENT IN THE DINING ROOM, HE WAS RIGHT BEHIND ME. I WENT DOWN THE HALL TO THE BEDROOMS AND HE FOLLOWED ME DOWN THERE. I THOUGHT HE MIGHT CRY WHEN I TURNED IT OFF. HE WAS JUST SO FASCINATED. IT CRACKED ME UP.
~
MARK RAN OVER A DEER WITH THE JEEP ON HIS WAY HOME FROM WORK YESTERDAY. MARK AND THE JEEP ARE FINE. THE DEER HOWEVER WAS NOT. A FRIEND OF MARK'S CAME AND PICKED IT UP. MARK BROUGHT HOME A LITTLE BIT OF THE MEAT THAT THEY HAD COOKED UP RIGHT AWAY. IT WAS GOOD. I MADE SOME "VENISON AND EGGS" THIS MORNING FOR BREAKFAST. MIGHT HAVE THAT AGAIN TOMORROW....
~
I THOUGHT OF ANOTHER THING THAT CHARLY SAYS. "HEY CAPTAIN!" I REALLY HAVE NO IDEA WHERE SHE GETS THAT FROM.
~
WE ARE GOING TO HAVE TO PHASE THE PACIFIER AWAY FROM AYDAN. I THINK I MISSED MY WINDOW TO HAVE IT DISAPPEAR QUIETLY. THAT IS MY FAULT. HE ONLY USES THE PACIFIER AT NAP TIME AND BED TIME, BUT HE HAS BECOME QUITE ACCUSTOMED TO IT. I TRIED NOT GIVING IT TO HIM THE OTHER NIGHT AND HE CRIED AND CRIED AND CRIED. I THINK NAP TIME MIGHT BE AN EASIER TIME TO START WITH TO PHASE IT OUT. THE LONGER I WAIT, THE HARDER IT WILL GET I THINK.
~
TODAY MARK, ME, AND THE KIDS WENT TO KALAMAZOO. WE DIDN'T REALLY PLAN IT FROM THE GET GO, BUT IT WORKED OUT WELL. WE LEFT ABOUT 9:30 OR SO IN THE MORNING. WE HIT SAM'S CLUB FIRST. WE DIDN'T BUY ANYTHING, BUT DID OUR BROWSING AND HAD SOME SAMPLES. WE DID END UP HAVING A COUPLE SLICES OF PIZZA BEFORE WE LEFT THOUGH.
AFTER THAT WE WENT TO TOYS R US. WE PRETTY MUCH JUST LET CHARLY RUN AROUND AND PLAY WITH EVERYTHING. SHE HAD FUN. SHE WANTED TO CHECK EVERYTHING OUT. WE MADE IT THROUGH...AND OUT, WITHOUT ANY BIG MELT DOWNS. AYDAN WAS GOOD TOO. JUST RELAXED IN THE CART FOR A WHILE.
AFTER THAT WE WENT OVER TO SPRINKLE AND GOT SOME GAS....AND WENT TO THE PERRY HARLEY DEALER. MARK WENT IN AND I STAYED WITH THE KIDS IN THE CAR. WE WERE HOPING AYDAN WOULD SLEEP, BUT HE DIDN'T. AH WELL.
THEN WE WENT TO BIG LOTS. WE DID SOME BROWSING AROUND AND GOT SOME DIAPERS FOR THE KIDS.
AFTER THAT WE WENT IN TO THE MALL AND WALKED AROUND. BOTH THE KIDS DID PRETTY GOOD, BUT THEY WERE GETTING TIRED. WE WERE STALLING A LITTLE BECAUSE THE WHOLE POINT OF OUR TRIP WAS TO GO TO CARRABAS TO USE OUR GIFT CERTIFICATE. CARRABAS DIDN'T OPEN UNTIL 3PM. WELL, THE KIDS WERE GETTING TIRED, MARK HADN'T BEEN FEELING GOOD AND WE REALLY WEREN'T SURE IF WE SHOULD TRY GOING OUT TO EAT.
WELL, WE WENT ANYHOW. THE KIDS DID GREAT. AYDAN WAS PRETTY EASY TO ENTERTAIN. HE ATE SOME BREAD AND LOVED HAVING SOME ICE WATER FED TO HIM FROM MY STRAW. (THAT WORKED WITH CHARLY WHEN SHE WAS LITTLE TOO). KEPT HIM ENTERTAINED. AND THEN HE HAD A BUNCH OF TOMATO BASIL SOUP. I WASN'T SURE IF HE WOULD LIKE IT, BUT HE ATE IT DOWN.
CHARLY DID GOOD...COLORED AND ATE A LITTLE BIT OF SOUP AND EVEN LESS OF THE DINNER. SHE HAD SOME PINK LEMONADE. ALL IN ALL SHE WAS VERY WELL BEHAVED. WE WERE SURPRISED WITH HOW TIRED THE KIDS HAD ACTED AT THE MALL. I GUESS A QUIET DINNER WAS ALL THEY NEEDED. MAYBE RESTAURANTS THAT AREN'T TOO CROWDED OR LOUD WITH DARK LIGHTING IS KEY;)
DINNER WAS GREAT TOO. THE TOMATO BASIL SOUP WAS VERY GOOD AND WE ALSO HAD SOME MEZZALUNA PASTA WITH A TOMATO CREAM SAUCE AND A MARGHERITA PIZZA.
WE LIKE CARRABAS. THE FOOD IS CONSISTENT AND THE SERVICE IS GREAT.
~
WHICH LEADS ME TO MY NEXT PARAGRAPH. I WAS WATCHING ALL THE COOKS IN THE KITCHEN AT THE RESTAURANT AND I JUST MISS COOKING. I HAVE BEEN THINKING ABOUT COOKING A LOT LATELY. I AM NOT REALLY SURE WHY. I GUESS I MISS IT, BUT I AM NOT SURE WHY. I MEAN...I KNOW I LOVE TO COOK AND I LOVED COOKING AT RESTAURANTS...WORKING THE LINE, ETC. BUT, I DO REALIZE I HATED THE HOURS AND IT IS A LOT OF STRESS. ALTHOUGH...COMPARED TO MY LIFE NOW...I GUESS THE STRESS WASN'T TOO BAD. I DON'T KNOW. I THINK ABOUT GOING BACK IN TO THE FIELD, BUT RIGHT NOW...I AM NOT SURE WHAT PART OF THE FIELD I WOULD LIKE TO BE BACK IN. IT REALLY DEPENDS. I GUESS I AM JUST LEAVING THE OPTION OPEN RIGHT NOW. I DON'T KNOW...MAYBE WHEN THE KIDS ARE OLDER AND IN SCHOOL. WE WILL SEE. OR I HAVE THOUGHT ABOUT WORKING SOMEWHERE FOR ONE OR TWO NIGHTS A WEEK...IF THAT IS EVEN AN OPTION. WHO KNOWS.

That's my girl!
The last three days have been um...crazy! Let's just say we had some problems at work, and it has kept me, my mom, and Brett quite busy. Wednesday Mark was home and kept track of the kids over at his parents house. It was nice to be able to plow in to work and not worry about the kids. Especially since it was probably the busiest day of the week.
Thursday Mark had to work most of the day, so it was a little more hectic of a home life. Charly wasn't getting nearly the one on one attention she needs...and deserves. I just wasn't able to peel away from the computer much at all and I was on the phone for a lot of the day.
Well, the first thing she got in to was...what in the heck was the first thing she got in to?? Oye, that is going to bug me.
Anyway...the next thing was that Charly was in the bathroom. She likes to brush her teeth or wash her hands. I didn't think much of it. I had been stuck on the phone for a while. Well, I went in to check on her and she had been helping me by washing some stuff up! Yes. Paperback books in the sink drowning in water. Oh, she is so helpful! Four books all nice and clean. I lifted up the first book and there was a big pile of soap covering the next book. Oh, how tickled i was to see those books all nice and clean! Mom, your mystery books will be returned to you smelling a tad bit better!
A bit later I went to take a sip of my tea, and I found....a set of keys in it!
Yes, my little girl likes to explore and learn how things react to each other and what happens if she does what. She is mischievous, but I love it. She likes to learn and she is very smart.
Some of her phrases lately....
"You're so cuuute!"
"Good job!" - and she tells me this when I do something...not just repeating when she does something good. oh, and she holds her thumb up when she says it. Melts my heart.
"I love you... soo much"
"maybe?" - and she says this after I tell her she can't have something
I am amazed at how perceptive she is. I didn't know a two year old can be as perceptive as Charly is. She sees a need that someone else has and tries to meet it. If you are going bye bye, she will get your shoes. Or ask if you need a coat. If I am making dinner, she will set the table...even get in to the silverware drawer without asking. When we eat dinner, she will ask if you want more of something to eat.
Oh, the other day it was funny....she was drinking her milk. She was about half way done and stopped and said "I don't like it". "Its too spicy". Oh, it was cute! I think the day before I had said something about something being spicy...I guess she remembered.
Oh! I remembered the first thing she got in to. She found some of my old cassette tapes. I let her play with them for a while, but then I came in to the bedroom and she had the tape all pulled out of one of them. I am sure that was fun while it was happening...
She can sing twinkle twinkle little star...or most of it. Too cute.
Well, I am going to go enjoy my Saturday now. I started this post two days ago....

Election Day
Barack Obama or John McCain. Who will it be??
We will certainly found out soon enough.
I am not voting.
I know some people are appalled by that fact. Well, I am sorry.
I have always been, and still am, a firm believer in not voting...purely because I do not follow everything. I hear tidbits here and there. But, I don't get in depth and I am not sure if I am republican or democrat. I am pretty sure I am a republican...but without doing the research, I hate to stand my ground on that. I don't want to just go by what my entire family around me is...for just that reason. I would like to make an informed decision on my own.
So, as far as voting. I don't think I should just vote the same as everyone else is. I want to make an informed decision.
Which brings me to my other problem...what I do hear from the elections...is so much bull! It is very frustrating. He said, she said. I know that is how it always has been, and there is no other way around it. But, geez.
Next election I will be voting. I will be following the election from the get go and researching as well. Its about time I grow up and get involved.

What was I going to blog about???
I had a couple of ideas...and now I am drawing a blank.
I am in the middle of a couple of things. I am waiting for an mt to call me back before I can start anything else...so why not type in that blog post I opened up hours ago...ya know?
I spend 120 dollars in groceries yesterday. They should last me about two+ weeks. We will find out. I am sure I will have to go back for milk of course, but the main meals, I should be set on. I had whittled my food down quite a bit, so it is nice to see the cupboards and fridge full once again. And now I can work on getting it all whittle down once again. It is still a fun challenge to figure out what I can make out of what is lingering in the cupboards.
I have been doing my grocery shopping at Hardings lately. Usually I don't because it is more expensive. But, now my church has an escript card for Hardings, so I figure I will pay a little more in groceries, but I will save gas money and to boot, my church gets a percentage of what I spend. Win win, if you ask me.
Gas is $2.22 in Hartford. That's great!
I read an article in the paper about a family that went trick or treating. It was a dad and his three kids. They went up to a house that had their porch light on and rang the bell. The man inside started shooting a gun. He killed one of the kids, a 12 year old boy. And wounded the dad and another of the sons. Apparently the man inside was in fear of a robbery and that is why he just started shooting. He saw the masks the kids had on and just went on a shooting spree. He had a woman in the house with him, along with the woman's 2 year old little girl.
They say that the man wasn't on any drugs or alcohol. Which was my firs instinct...acid trip gone bad. But, apparently the man was suffering...or may be suffering from post traumatic stress because of being shot at a robbery last year.
The woman in the house was also charged because she was caught trying to run away with 7,500 in cash.
The story is just appauling. I can't imagine why on earth anything like this would have happened. There are so many questions running through my brain, and so many holes in the story. I just can't believe that someone...no matter what they were suffering from, would open fire on Halloween night like that at complete strangers...kids. They said there was at least 29 shots fired. That is a lot of shooting.
It makes me so sad, and I can't imagine what that family is dealing with. The father, I am sure, is stunned and probably feeling so guilty. You would think you could take your kids out trick or treating and the worst thing you would have to worry about is bad candy...

Exhausted
I am tired to say the least. I didn't get much sleep last night and I am more then ready to hit the hay tonight. I am just waiting to wind down a little and hopefully little girl stays in bed and my blanket is dry soon. My stomach is all tight and I feel hungry, but I know I am not. I am antsy. My body aches. I am tired. Over tired. I only got four hours of sleep last night, and I guess it just wasn't enough.
I got up early this morning to get going to the bazaar. Mark and I headed out about 7:30 to get to the school early. Garry and Cindy came over to watch the kids. Mark and I got all set up at our table and shortly after Cindy showed up to set up her jewelry. I had four kinds of truffles, peanut butter cups, hot chocolate mix, and banana bread to sell.
The day went by pretty slow. I sold a little bit of product...enough to break even. So, I was happy with that. There wasn't as many people at the bazaar as previous years. There was a big football game today and also the band had a competition as well. There was also a couple of other bazaar's close by...so, we just didn't get as much of a turn out.
I would do the bazaar again next year. I had fun and it was a good experience. I wouldn't change too much next time...just a few little things.
I do have quite a bit of product left. I think I will just throw it in the freezer and use it as needed...gifts, etc.;) We will see.
Last night when I was packaging up my banana bread, I had all my stuff in the chair. I was putting ribbon around the bread and I had a label that I was attaching to the ribbon. Well, Charly started picking up the bread and moving it around. I just let her do her thing...she wasn't making too much of a mess. Well, then she started helping....she got a loaf of bread, a piece of ribbon, and a label. She had it ready for me when I was done with the one in my hand. After I took that, she got me another piece of bread, ribbon, and label. I didn't even have to ask or show her anything...she just figured it all out on her own. She is so perceptive, I love it!
Well, I think I will go get ready for bed and tucker in for the night. We get an hour more of sleep tonight...but I doubt the kids will realize that! We will see.
